In Tonight’s Comic Adventure: Watch out world! Miss Waxie is behind the wheels of her 1995 Geo Prism again, left eye cataract be damned! And, okay, she didn’t go farther than around her block. Twice. Still…she drove! Only being chronically ill could make a milestone you’ve past long ago something exciting to experience again. I wonder how it will feel when I relearn to ride a bike.

In Tonight’s Comic Adventure: Faced with the possibility of not being able to get a sedative for her cataract eye surgery simply because she can’t produce enough urine for her pregnancy test, Miss Waxie wonders who really gets harmed the most by this bad decision, her non-existent fetus, herself, or the poor doctor who got the “if you think your cutting into my eyes while I’m awake you got another thing coming, buddy” riot act read to them. ….She got her drugs, her surgery, and half her dignity to boot. Why does being female so needlessly complicate every moment of the medical life?
Dear Readers, thank you for sticking by me in the recent dip in posting. I’m still having a hard time adjusting to my lens implant…and still awaiting the one in my left eye! Thanks for the well wishes and don’t worry about the missed comics, I’m good for ’em!

In Tonight’s Comic Adventure: Successfully recooperating from her cataracts surgery, Miss Waxie once again thinks on just how weird it is to have and old lady surgery at the tender age of 23 – even if they were caused by prednisone. Sure, the side effect was on the table when pred was brought up for the UCTD/ lupus/ rheumatoid arthritis deal, but getting cataracts so soon is like finishing only half of your box of Lucky Charms before finding the prize buried inside. …Well, gluten free Lucky Charms in Miss Waxie’s, book.
